A Suspension Trainer is a great functional tool that can be used by beginners to advanced level athletes. Many of you may have heard of the brand, TRX which stands for Total Resistance Exercise. It was developed and popularized by the US Navy Seals back in the 1990's as crew members presented the need for a performance training tool to use while deployed on ships or subs that required little equipment. Because you are using your own body weight to create resistance, it is great for improving core strength, balance and coordination.
Exercises can easily be regressed, progressed and created to suit specific training needs. Soccer, for instance requires you to be quick, agile and strong. So why not incorporate some Suspension Trainer drills to help you improve and excel in your sport?
